Prayer times by month
Times for the 15th of each month, 2026, Kópavogur local time (Muslim World League). Fajr and Isha depend on the calculation method; sunrise and Maghrib are purely astronomical. In summer, when twilight never fully ends at this latitude, Fajr and Isha use the standard angle-based estimate.

Waking for Fajr is the hard part
In Kópavogur, Fajr comes as early as 02:05 in June. The prayer itself takes minutes — the battle is the wake-up. Fajr lands in the deepest stretch of the night's sleep, when your body temperature is lowest and a swipe-to-dismiss alarm doesn't stand a chance: your hand cancels it before your brain is awake. In mid-September that means being up before 06:11, day after day.
What helps: a consistent bedtime worked back from Fajr (the sleep calculator does the math), light exposure discipline (how light sets your sleep schedule), and an alarm that cannot be silenced from under the blanket.
