Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 4, 2026 · Effective: June 4, 2026

Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) covers the Captain Wake mobile application and any related services (together, the “Services”) operated by Zuxy Capital LLC-FZ (“we”, “us”, “our”). Captain Wake is an alarm app that requires you to complete wake-up missions — such as photographing the sky, snapping a picture of your kitchen, shaking your phone, or other challenges — before the alarm will turn off.

Captain Wake does not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address, or phone number. However, like most modern mobile apps, we and our third-party partners do collect certain data automatically — including device identifiers and usage data used for analytics, advertising attribution, and crash reporting. This Policy explains exactly what is collected, why, who it is shared with, and the choices and rights you have.

By using the Services you agree to the practices described here. If you disagree, please do not use the Services.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make meaningful changes we will publish the revised Policy with a new “Last Updated” date and may show an in-app notice. If you keep using the Services after that, you accept the updated Policy.

Data We Collect and How We Use It

We collect data in three ways: (1) data you provide or generate while using the app, which mostly stays on your device; (2) data collected automatically by the app and by third-party SDKs; and (3) data processed entirely on-device for mission verification. The table below summarizes what is collected and the purpose for each.

Identifiers and Advertising Data

We and our attribution and analytics partners may collect the following identifiers and related data:

  • IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers) — collected only if you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. If you decline, the IDFA is not collected.
  • IDFV (Identifier for Vendor) — an Apple identifier shared across our apps on your device.
  • AppsFlyer ID — a unique identifier assigned by our attribution provider to measure marketing performance.
  • Firebase App Instance ID — an identifier used by Google Analytics for Firebase to measure app usage.
  • IP address — used for attribution, fraud prevention, and to derive approximate (country/region-level) location.
  • Install, campaign, and attribution data — which ad or campaign led you to install the app, and related referral data.
  • Marketing and conversion events — such as app installs, app opens, free-trial starts, and subscription purchases.

Purpose: measuring the effectiveness of our marketing, attributing installs to the correct campaign, detecting ad fraud, and understanding which channels bring users to Captain Wake.

Usage and Diagnostics Data

  • Usage events — sessions, screens viewed, features used (which missions are popular, how often alarms are set), engagement metrics.
  • Device information — device model, operating system version, app version, language, and general region.
  • Crash and performance data — crash logs, error reports, and device state at the time of a crash.
  • Approximate location — country/region level only, derived from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location.

Purpose: understanding how the app is used, improving features, monitoring performance, and finding and fixing bugs.

On-Device Data (Not Transmitted)

Photos. Some missions ask you to take a photo (sky, kitchen, sink, grass, etc.). These images are analysed entirely on your device using Apple Vision to confirm mission completion. We do not upload, store, or transmit your photos to any server. Once verification is done the image stays only on your phone.

Sensor data. For the shake and spin missions we read your device's accelerometer and motion sensors. This data is processed entirely on your phone and never leaves it.

Alarm & mission data. Your alarm schedules, chosen missions, completion status, streaks, and preferences are all stored locally on your device.

Push Notification Tokens

With your permission, we use Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver push notifications (such as bedtime reminders). This requires a device push token. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

Third-Party Services We Use

Captain Wake integrates the following third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review:

  • AppsFlyer (attribution & marketing analytics) — collects IDFA (if ATT-permitted), IDFV, AppsFlyer ID, IP address, install/campaign data, and conversion events to attribute installs and measure marketing. AppsFlyer Privacy Policy.
  • Google Firebase (Analytics & Crashlytics) — collects App Instance ID, usage events, device information, and crash reports. Firebase Privacy · Google Privacy Policy.
  • Apple Search Ads — provides campaign and keyword attribution data so we know which Apple Search Ads campaign led to an install. Apple Privacy Policy.
  • Apple SKAdNetwork — Apple's privacy-preserving attribution framework, which sends aggregated, anonymized install postbacks to ad networks without exposing your identity.
  • Apple App Store — processes all subscriptions and in-app purchases. Apple Privacy Policy.

Payments

We never see or store your payment information. All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store, and Apple's privacy policy applies. We do receive non-payment subscription events (e.g. trial started, subscription active) to operate the app and measure marketing.

Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share data only as described below:

  • Service providers — AppsFlyer, Google Firebase, Apple Search Ads, and Apple SKAdNetwork, as described in “Third-Party Services We Use” above, so they can provide attribution, analytics, and crash-reporting services on our behalf.
  • Advertising networks (via SKAdNetwork) — aggregated, privacy-preserving install postbacks that do not identify you individually.
  • Legal requirements — when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
  • Business transfers — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Note: under some privacy laws (such as the CCPA), sharing identifiers with advertising and attribution partners for marketing measurement may be considered “sharing” or a “sale.” See “Your Privacy Rights” below for how to opt out.

Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. Data transmitted to our partners is encrypted in transit using TLS/SSL. Your local app data is protected by your device's own security features (passcode, Face ID, etc.). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

  • Local app data — stored on your device; deleted when you uninstall the app.
  • Attribution data (AppsFlyer) — retained per AppsFlyer's data-retention settings, then deleted or anonymized.
  • Firebase Analytics — retained for up to 14 months per Google's default settings, then automatically deleted.
  • Crash reports — kept for up to 90 days for debugging, then removed.

Your Choices

  • App Tracking Transparency (ATT) — you control whether we may access your IDFA via the iOS ATT prompt. If you decline, the IDFA is not used. You can change this anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
  • Limit ad tracking & analytics — you can further limit advertising and analytics collection through your device's privacy settings.
  • Push notifications — disable them in your device settings at any time.
  • Delete all local data — uninstall the app to remove all your alarms, missions, and preferences from your device.
  • Privacy requests — to request access to or deletion of data associated with your device, email us at [email protected].

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data. Because we collect device identifiers and usage data, privacy regulations such as the EU/UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) may apply to our processing.

European Economic Area, UK & Switzerland (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Our legal bases for processing are: your consent (e.g. for IDFA/tracking via ATT and for push notifications) and our legitimate interests (e.g. analytics, security, fraud prevention, and measuring marketing). You may withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. To opt out of sharing identifiers for advertising measurement, decline the ATT prompt and/or contact us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

International Data Transfers

Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms.

Children's Privacy

Captain Wake is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.

Third-Party Links

The Services may link to external websites or services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to review their policies independently.
