Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) covers the Captain Wake mobile application and any related services (together, the “Services”) operated by Zuxy Capital LLC-FZ (“we”, “us”, “our”). Captain Wake is an alarm app that requires you to complete wake-up missions — such as photographing the sky, snapping a picture of your kitchen, shaking your phone, or other challenges — before the alarm will turn off.

We do not collect any personal information. Captain Wake does not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information. All your alarm settings, mission data, streaks, and preferences are stored locally on your device.

By using the Services you agree to the practices described here. If you disagree, please do not use the Services.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make meaningful changes we will publish the revised Policy with a new “Last Updated” date and may show an in-app notice. If you keep using the Services after that, you accept the updated Policy.

What We Do Not Collect

To be clear, Captain Wake does not collect:

  • Your name, email, phone number, or any personal identifiers
  • Account credentials or passwords (there are no accounts)
  • Your photos — all photo missions are verified entirely on-device; images are never uploaded or transmitted anywhere
  • Precise GPS location
  • Contacts, messages, or any other personal content from your device

Information Collected Automatically (Anonymous Analytics)

We collect only anonymous, aggregated analytics data to understand how the app is used and to fix bugs. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.

Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics

We use Google Firebase for anonymous analytics and crash reporting:

  • Firebase Analytics — anonymous app usage data, session counts, engagement metrics, and aggregated demographics (e.g. country, language). No personal identifiers are attached.
  • Firebase Crashlytics — anonymous crash reports, device state, and error logs so we can identify and fix bugs.
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging — device tokens for delivering push notifications. These tokens are not linked to any personal identity.

Firebase data is handled under Google's privacy policy.

Device & Usage Data

The anonymous analytics may include:

  • Device model and OS version
  • App version
  • Session duration and frequency
  • Features used (which missions are popular, how often alarms are set)
  • General region derived from IP address (country-level, not precise location)

This data is collected in aggregate form and cannot be traced back to any individual user.

On-Device Data

Photos. Some missions ask you to take a photo (sky, kitchen, sink, grass, etc.). These images are analysed entirely on your device to confirm mission completion. We do not upload, store, or transmit your photos to any server. Once verification is done the image stays only on your phone.

Sensor data. For the shake mission we read your device's accelerometer. This data is processed entirely on your phone and never leaves it.

Alarm & mission data. Your alarm schedules, chosen missions, completion status, streaks, and preferences are all stored locally on your device.

Payments

We never see or store your payment information. All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store or Google Play, and their own privacy policies apply.

How We Use the Collected Data

The anonymous analytics data we collect is used solely for:

  • Improving the app — understanding which features are used most, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Fixing bugs — crash reports help us find and resolve issues quickly.
  • Performance monitoring — ensuring the app runs smoothly across different devices.

Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade any data. Since we do not collect personal information, there is no personal data to share.

Anonymous, aggregated analytics data may be shared with:

  • Firebase / Google — as part of the analytics and crash reporting services described above.
  • Legal requirements — if compelled by law, though since we hold no personal data, there is very little we could provide.

Data Security

Since we do not collect personal information, there is minimal risk to your privacy. The anonymous analytics data transmitted to Firebase is encrypted in transit using TLS/SSL. Your local app data is protected by your device's own security features (passcode, Face ID, etc.).

Data Retention

  • Local app data — stored on your device; deleted when you uninstall the app.
  • Firebase Analytics — retained for 14 months per Google's default settings, then automatically deleted.
  • Crash reports — kept for 90 days for debugging, then removed.

Your Choices

  • Analytics opt-out — you can limit ad tracking and analytics collection through your device's privacy settings (Settings → Privacy on iOS).
  • Push notifications — disable them in your device settings at any time.
  • Delete all local data — simply uninstall the app. All your alarms, missions, and preferences will be removed from your device.

Children's Privacy

Captain Wake is not intended for children under 13 (or 16 in some jurisdictions). Since we do not collect personal information from any user, we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you have concerns, contact us at captainwakeapp@gmail.com.

Third-Party Links

The Services may link to external websites or services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to review their policies independently.

California, European & Other Regional Rights

Because Captain Wake does not collect personal information, most data-privacy regulations (CCPA, GDPR, etc.) have limited applicability. We do not sell data, we do not profile users, and we do not process personal identifiers. If you have any questions about your rights, feel free to contact us.
